Impressive showing over 3 nights. Notable layers of ripe strawberry, dried strawberry, dusty earth, black pepper and stoney minerality. Simple, yet complex. Medium bodied, with a round mid-palate and structured finish. Definite a food worthy wine. Well made. Overlooked and underrated. A price-friendly gem.

N: JAMMY with spicy notes; Lovely now, but more to give?
P: LM body; Nice frt met by an attractive astringency, this slowly & seamlessly morphing into a LONG, somewhat spicy finish with an INTRIGUING bitterswt note. LOVELY now, & might even improve a bit over the next 6 mos or so, then drink nicely into '20. WELL done, Randall Grahm! :) [FYI, from the Winery's Tasting Notes: "Best served with a slight chill, especially as the weather warms up."] This vendor's $11.95 is ~ 15% less than the NEXT lowest on wine-searcher!

Medium ruby. Ripe black cherry, strawberry jam, juicy blueberry jam, black currant. Musky, forest floor, sweet and concentrated but light and vibrant. Vanilla, spices, grippy but pleasant tannins and a strawberry-tea finish. Beautiful summer red with enough sass and energy to be enjoyed on its own as well as with savoury foods.
