No detailed notes. Spotted this on a wine list yesterday at a very fair price and decided to go for it. We had half the bottle with a sweet/savory foie gras appetizer and the rest with dessert. Worked very well with both. Beautiful, dark caramel core. Sweet, yet well balanced by the acidity. Still very lively. No rush on this, though I suspect it will not improve at this point.

Dinner with Steve, Barb & Mom for Dena's Birthday at Black House. Red Amber in color. Very Rotenberg with a heavy red clay influence. Light in texture - almost Prum-like. The finish lingers for quite a while. Very good but not on par with previous bottles. 50+12+12+8+8=90

Dinner at home with Steve & Barb. Amber in the glass. Sweet but the acidity is there to keep this wine in balance. It seems to keep flirting with the edge of being over the top and then keeps pulling back. An amazing sensation. Honied with the richness one would expect and clear sensations of the Rotenberg red clay terroir evident even with the high residual sugar. Full bodied with a finish that is seemingly endless. Absolutely perfect with Dena's great strawberry slump topped with my "magical rhubarb whip". 50+14+14+9+9 = 96

Half bottle. Amber/orange. Honeyed spiced ripe peach. Intense and sweet with a creme brulee aspect, but it is leavened and lifted by terrific acidity. Slightly bitter finish suggests that it may still improve. You'd be hard pressed to not have this wine bring a smile to your face.
