This wine seems to have excellent potential, but I never got it to open up, even vigorously aerated. A pro I like rated it 99. Wow. I'd love to know how he got it to open. Fruity, tightly packed layers, not a lot of finish, terroir, or tannic action. I'm going to say it may in fact be a 99--with about 5 more years in a dark cellar. Try in 2028. My 90 rating is a stretch at the moment. There are lots of other Right-Bank Reds ready to drink right now. For much less.
Minneapolis Wine Club in St. Paul (St. Paul, MN): Excellent showing and decanted for 4 plus hours. Dark in color and 14.5% alcohol. Rich wine with tobacco, dark fruits, spice, mild oak, earth and violets. Medium to long finish and plenty of life left in this wine. Should drink well through 2035.

Drank out of a Mag with 3 hour decant. Definitely ready to go, this is already very good and I think this will benefit and gain a few more points with a little more bottle age. Looking forward to the future with 5 more Mags.

Paid $85. Well, the last bottle we had, I rated as a 96, this one will remain unrated. I liked it but the family didn't and did not believe that they had asked for more. But I did notice that this bottle had notes of aging, maybe bad handling in the past?

Super balanced wine. Mild aroma, earthy, floral. On the palate, perfect tannin and acidity. Outstanding wine in this price range.
