  • Nice deep straw yellow color. Exotic fruits Reminds me of lechee / slight banana like odor in nose. In mouth taste is immediate and follows on what I perceived in nose though I expected more (hence the 88). A slight acidic finish which dominates at the end. (This is why this wine may be worth keeping for 2-3 years more to see what it gives).

  • 13% alcohol.

Pale light yellow color. Very non-fruity nose with aromas of sourmilk, fresh pear, some creaminess, a little bit of dusty wood, a hint of stony chalk dust and a touch of earthiness. At this point me and several others start wondering whether this wine is corked. The wine is moderately full-bodied, lean and quite tough on the palate with juicy yet not rich flavors of golden apples, some creaminess, a little bit of apple yoghurt, light apricot notes, a hint of chalk dust bitterness and a touch of unripe white fruit. Overall the wine feels somewhat hollow and lacking flavor. Moderately high acidity. The finish is quite long with flavors of creaminess, some apple yoghurt, a little bit of golden apple, a hint of sourmilk and a touch of chalky mineral bitterness.

This was a weird one. We were wondering whether this was a corked wine, where the TCA really doesn't taste, but it has just killed off all the fruit from the wine, or if this was just a Savagnin from the neutral extreme of the variety - after all, minerality and austere characteristics are very typical of Savagnin. All in all, the wine offered very little of anything. Unrated, since we couldn't come to conclusion whether the wine was corked or not.

  • Short note. On the nose white fruits, on the palate round with good freshness, medium+ finish. Very good now but may even improve with further aging.
