  • WOW! had this with a Pride Cab Reserve both 14's and well cellared. PNP...The PW is truly exceptional with a subdued nose, but once on your palate hold on as it explodes coating your mouth will integrated tannins, chocolate, black currant. One person commented they could have the wine for dinner as it is indeed chewy. So obviously full bodied and the finish is long with complexity that leaves you for 40+ seconds. The verdict PW perhaps more pricy as it is truly exceptional, and with a bit of air this is ready to drink. Can age for awhile but why wait? Cheers

  • blackberries, blue florals, black currant, raspberry, dark chocolate, baking spice, toasted oak, and dried herbs

Full bodied, silky mid palate, nice graphite note to it. Tannins are well integrated and has a velvety texture. Pritchard Hill finesse. Melanson fruit is probably one of the most under-the-radar grapes on this mountain of cult wines. Great wine

  • Virtual tasting of Pulido Walker Chardonnay 2018, Panek 2014-17 and Melanson 2014-17 co-hosted by the proprietor. In both series the 2015 and 2016 stood out. In the direct comparison my preference was with Melanson which came across as denser and darker. But in the top vintages 2015 and 2016 Panek was better made. Close call, however.

    Tasting note:
Polished, lush and incredibly inviting nose of cherry compote, red currant, cassis, sweet spices embedded in a mineral mist. Over time a bit of cooked vegetable which tainted the overall picture. More red type of fruit on the palate, good tension and well integrated although not exactly what I would call velvety nor soft.

  • Enjoyed over two days this weekend. Nice cocoa powder notes on Day 1 with more fruit showing up on Day 2. Held up just fine so recommend giving it plenty of air. Day 2 > Day 1
