Coravin'd a glass 2 night ago, pulled the cork and got into it. Red fruit dominates both the nose and palate, there's still soft tannins but I'd guess this is on its downside and should be consumed with a year or two to ensure sufficient structure. Plum, cherry....maybe cranberry too?
87% CS / 17% Merlot, at this stage of its life it could pass for a heftier new world Pinot. Replacement for a corked bottle of the '15 vintage.

Definetly a fresh tasting wine. There is a brightness to the fruit. The cocoa becomes evident on the mid palette with a background of fruits which were not totally evident until later in the night. Mid palette and finish reveal bay leaves and cedar.

Very easy drinking and fruit is still there. Medium fruits, 15 second finish and no decant needed. Enjoyable

IMW - Cab / Cab Franc Walk-Around Tasting 2018 (mostly 2014 vintage) (Hyatt, San Francisco): Very nice! Fresh blackcurrant on the nose with well integrated chocolate. On the palate, bright acid and many shades of blackcurrant fruit.
