  • This bottle was singing tonight. Loved the smooth tannins and the structure and complexity. You wouldn’t mistake it for Scarecrow but it was really tasty. Had blackberry and slightly blueberry notes with a faint hint of vanilla and crème de cassis. I only bought one bottle from Spectrumwine way back in the day. That was a mistake. This was terrific for the price I paid. Of course it was because I only bought one. ☝️

  • Deep, dark purple color; great nose with black fruits like blackberries and dark chocolate. Very blunt on the palet to start, lacks that rich, long, complex aftertaste. I would say the 2017 needs another 2-3 years in cellar to get that balance.

  • Nice fruit up front, tannins, leather, earthiness. At first the finish did not follow through. Everything I like about a cab. Dry finish. Taste and nose

    Young. Let rest 3+ years.

  • Deep, dark reddish-purple in color; almost opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty, floral & herbs, minerals, spices, some cocoa notes & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with earthiness, some cocoa, dried herbs, spices, minerals & oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting and extended airing but may develop further with additional aging. Very good QPR when found at discount.
