Excellent. A N. Rhone ringer that plays on the savory end with black olive, smoke, burnt earth, black fruits, stones, black pepper, some animal. This deserve more than the burgers we had it with.

Gramercy Cellars Tasting (Walla Walla Tasting Room): A trio of Forgotten Hills Syrah's. Clay, dust, smoke, burnt toast and some cherry. Fruit has faded on these and not as solid as the 15 but more enjoyable than the lighter style 16.

Great forward fruit, lush body. Bought 5 years ago this month and very glad I waited. Fabulous.

Walla Walla Syrah Festival Grand Tasting (Valdemar Cellars Walla Walla): A little better than the tasting room today. More fruit present in this bottle featuring blueberries, cherry, smoke, crushed rock, minerals, pepper and earth. Medium finish.
