Previous vintages have really transformed a year or two after initial release, and this likely will too; right now, though, it's only OK. Opened 30 minutes before tasting. More opaque than in many previous years, but still a little more of a watery purple than most, sticky legs for a pinot. Nose of wild strawberry, licorice, black pepper. Palate is leaning forward right now, strawberry rhubarb pie without much back palate structure. Finish is impressively long, some initial bitterness disappeared after the first hour. Decent now, optimistic it's headed for the same excellence as previous vintages. Hard to argue with the $20 price tag.

Nice, basic Pinot Noir. Not very complicated. Easy to drink. Perfect for a casual meal. Previous bottle seemed better.
