  • Went in with no expectations, but I have a soft spot for dusty bottles. Found this at the back of a shelf and had to giver a shot. Turned out to be really interesting, a little flabby, but a nice adventure. Cherries and dark spice on the nose, not as much structure as I would prefer. Decent concentration, great cab franc spice shows through from the nose to the finish. Interesting finish, spicy, with hints of cola and bitter chocolate.

  • Very surprising. I'm usually not a fan of Ironstone wines.
Exhibited lush fruit forward characteristics. Very soft tannins.
Finish was moderate long with balanced tannins acidity and alcohol.
A surprisingly good effort overall. The best wine I've experienced from Ironstone.
