Went in with no expectations, but I have a soft spot for dusty bottles. Found this at the back of a shelf and had to giver a shot. Turned out to be really interesting, a little flabby, but a nice adventure. Cherries and dark spice on the nose, not as much structure as I would prefer. Decent concentration, great cab franc spice shows through from the nose to the finish. Interesting finish, spicy, with hints of cola and bitter chocolate.

Very surprising. I'm usually not a fan of Ironstone wines. Exhibited lush fruit forward characteristics. Very soft tannins. Finish was moderate long with balanced tannins acidity and alcohol. A surprisingly good effort overall. The best wine I've experienced from Ironstone.
