Light translucent red, almost orange, with bit of sediment all through. Strawberry, spices, and a whiff of tobacco on the nose. Medium bodied, sage, crushed raspberries, rosemary, dry tannins, some heat, dried cherries, and a medium finish. Still there, but seems on the edge of falling off. Drink them if you still have them.

Thought for a second it was browning on first pouring, but it was actually a bright and semitransparent red on further inspection. This was doing well. Cherries, some herbs, and packed a bit of a surprising wallop at 15.3% alcohol, although there was no bitterness or burn from the alcohol. Good stuff, as usual, from Twisted Oak.

Opened it for about an hour before pouring my first glass...notes of slight sour cherry up front, red fruit. Maybe raspberry. Good mouthfeel, not thin like a pinot. i might have let this wine lay down too long as it might be on the downhill. but it was really nice with food! could also see this as a stand alone. Because i can't stand white wine, ganache is my go to grape for pork and fish. The Twisted Oak Torcido did not disappoint when paired with pork tenderloin pineapple kabobs with a teriyaki glaze. the acidity of the wine came out with the pineapple...went well with the pork and the slightly charred bell peppers.
