  • 13% alcohol.

Youthful and quite translucent raspberry color with a pink hue and almost colorless rim. The ripe and expressive nose is full of vibrant Pinosity, peppery spice, some brambly raspberry, a little bit of ripe cranberry, light earthy tones and a hint of smoke. The wine is dry, medium-bodied and spicy on the palate with flavors of ripe raspberries, some peppery spice, a little bit of wild strawberries, slight stony mineral tones and a hint of sweet dark fruit. The wine comes across as enjoyably balanced with its quite high acidity and light enjoyably firm tannins. The finish is dry, quite long and fresh with bright berry-driven flavors of cranberries, some raspberries, a little bit of stony minerality, light earthy notes of classic Pinosity and a hint of fragrant spices.

A classic, sophisticated Marsannay. Still quite youthful with very fruit-forward overall character, but at least the wine has lost all its primary characteristics, making the wine feel young and energetic, but also enjoyably crunchy, mineral and serious at the same time. Lovely for immediate consumption, but most likely will continue to develop for another 4-6 years or even longer. Delightful.
