Maturing a fair bit since last year. Chocolate covered dark cherries, some earth tones. More oak than needed in my view, and hotter than it needs to be. Palate fairly simple, quite fruit driven. Oak still very present, along with tannins. Black fruit for sure. Rather one note. I can see this having widespread appeal. It does not precisely elicit that reaction in me. It's clean, it's competent, it's varietally OK, and even within the realm of expectations of the appelation, if toward an extreme of that. It just feels like it's trying way too hard.

Unapologetically modern, ripe Burgundy. Nose shows substantive dark cherry and raspberry with pronounced wood spice. Palate big, ripe, juicy, with some drying tannins. Just enough earth tone to suggest it might be old world, but this would be a very good crossover wine for those who cut their pinot teeth on Oregon fruit.

(Magnum). Silky, plush even, neatly weighted, has finesse. Drinking very well now.
