  A long way short of 3 glass status but still quite good. Hot vintage shows with ripe red fruits making it tough to pick as a Sangiovese. The 30% cabernet contribution doesn't really help. Lovely tannin structure. Slightly porty cooked fruits. Won't get any better but should hold for some time.

  Very nice. Super-ripe dark red in color. Nose suggest various dimensions of black cherries, blackberry, dark chocolate and coffee. Earthy, spiced red berries. Opulent texture complex mix of deep flavors of dark fruits and chocolate with some tannins. Smooth lingering finish.
