Priorat and Ribera del Duero (Willamette Wine Storage, Portland, OR): This wine was quite lovely. Really killer aromas of rich fruit, and all kinds of stewed melons. There's a strange funkiness to it as well, but it's very delicious. The palate is nice and soft, creamy, and elegant. There's some nice acidity present, with just a slightly off putting metallic notion. Nice and tart on the finish, which is rich, and nicely coating the tongue. Very mild oak present.

The nose is rich an full with an interesting scent of roasted corn along with more usual cantaloupe and honeydew melons. This has a great juicy texture on the palate with good apple and citrus flavors evolving and lingering. Red apples and tart starfruit show themselves later, with a touch of bitterness coming along with the starfruit. The flavors are full and delicious and the structure is a bit rough later.

Sharp pineapples, some light petrol notes, mouthfilling body with some semi-sharp acids in the finish. The flavors follow-through nicely after the acidity has dissipated. Nice stuff overall, wish I had more!

Gorgeous nose, great body - light and herbaceous to stand up to a little heat but creamy enough to leave you wanting more! I look forward to opening another bottle!
