Cherry, a little strawberry, and pepper. Low tannin and medium acidity. Thin wine but it lingers. Best in summer when you want the flavors of a cab franc but want something refreshing. Easy to drink.

Deeper color. The nose shows soft aromas of dark red berries, flowers, slate, green pepper, earth and a hint of minerals. This is medium fullish bodied on the palate with very good concentration and good class. The medium plus length finish features some tannic grip.

Finger Lakes Vacation 2017; 9/4/2017-9/8/2017 (Finger Lakes, New York, USA): Tasted at the winery. Good red fruit flavors and the fruit achieved good ripeness judging by the profile. Some herbal character. Overall lacks precision and drive somewhat. Tired. Perhaps the indigenous yeast is partly to blame? 1990 planting, fermented in large format, near-neutral French oak barrels. "Very good," 86/100.

Bright and tart cherry with earth tones, crushed rock and a hint of smoke. Light in color, thin mouthfeel.
