All six bottles have been showing very well and consistently over-achieving. Bunches of mild spices, fresh mint, cedar, and earthy flavors from the Cabernet Franc, plus the ripe blueberry / blackberry flavors from the Merlot.

A stunning wine, drinking fabulously 7 years in. Lots of dark fruits (blackberry pie, & blueberry), with perfect balance of menthol, spice, and cedar and a resiny pine. It has a long finish. Outstanding.
20 months in 40% new oak barrels 56% Cabernet Franc and 44% Merlot

Dark cherry and mocha aromas with a touch of that Cab Franc bell pepper. Dark and dense, this took about 30-45 minutes to open up, drinking great now. Similar notes to last time but even more put together with black cherry, licorice, leather and black pepper on a long 30 second finish. Christine gave it a 96 for the finish. 56% Cab Franc, 44% Merlot.

The wine in this magnum was showing off dark fruits but the wine had not yet come together. Smooth and supple this wine should be silky in a few years. Nice dry tea-tannin on the finish

PnP straight from the cellar this did not take any coaxing and opened right up. Great depth and well balanced with black cherry, licorice, leather and black pepper. This Right Bank, along with the '16 Estate Cab I've had, seem very restrained and classy wines contrary to some of the more bombastic Napa wines of the '16 vintage. I haven't tried the '16 Eloge yet sounds like that might need a little more time. This is drinking great now and seems like it has a lot of years ahead.
