This is what a well made syrah should be like. Fruit upfront shorter but nice mid palate short finish nice tannins and spice. A bit on the expensive side but a great wine to learn the basics of syrah. decanted for a little over and hour in cellar at 57 degrees drank in mid 60S and followed for three more. Held up well to the last sip. drinkable now have 4 more bottles.

I have had their chardonnays before and agree they are Batard-Montrachet like (the Judge tastes like Leflaive) so was curious to try this one. Palate of crushed rocks, crushed violet flower, dark raspberry, and hints of cream. Still primary with hints of leather emerging. Very Northern Rhone-like and if tasted blind would have thought fruit-forward Hermitage or Gigondas. Decent 15 second finish with one wave of fruit. Not quite the mover and shaker as their chardonnay but very good. 94/100

This killed it. Perfect harmony of the lacy, aromatic Northern Rhone nose with the classiest massive Cali presentation of Syrah fruit.

Delicious wine - opened with friends and outstanding wagyu filets. Didn't have decanter available, but probably would have been even better if we did.
