  • Nice juicy red fruits with plenty of balancing grip. Drinking great. No signs of fading.

  • Finally opened one out of my two bottles I got on wine bezerker day 2020. Big, ripe and juicy with some nice structure and herbs. I don't think it will get any better so I will open my other bottle soon. Good Juice ! Thanks Larry !

  • 50% Syrah, 50% petit sirah.

Opaque dark violet. Nose an herbal complexity, ripe black fruit. Palate initially almost vanilla flavor in the intensity of the fruit; but with time the fruit becomes more precise, blackberry and black cherry, with an anise note providing interest.

To me tastes like it's drinking at peak, but given the intensity of the fruit (within balance), could see this drinking well for at least a couple more years

  • Luscious. Wine has been open 2 hrs. (It was delicious upon screw off)

Appearance - clear, opaque minus (as much as opaque can be clear but it is not cloudy) ruby.

Nose - clean, youthful, dark fruit and cedar. Vanilla, some alcohol eye burn. Spearmint. Medium plus intensity.

Palate - this is where this wine shines. I feel like it is all together. Nose does not prepare you. As the wine passes through palate you get the pow. Black fruit. Ripe. Juicy. Fills the most and beckons the next sip. The only worry I might have with this wine is at some point the fruit falls out and it’s a lot of alcohol but we aren’t there yet. I haven’t had a Northern Rhone for a while so intrigued what the addition of Petit Syrah is doing to this. It feels thicker and less delicate I suppose but totally works. Enjoyable blend. Perfect for lamb or a stew.

  • Wonderful!

Appearance - clear, opaque minus, though a bit lighter on rim. Deep ruby

Nose - clean, youthful, medium plus intensity, wine has been open a few hours, black and red fruits. Ripe. Some menthol, The only negative...the alcohol burn. The fruit and the alcohol don’t feel integrated in a luscious nose kind of way.

Palate - on the palate it works. Vibrant, alive, delicious. Medium plus body. Tannins are medium and really come out after you swallow the wine. Fruit is forward and finishes with a slight bitter pepper. Finish lingers. Acidity is medium. It’s fruit. Black and red fruit. Ripe. A bit of tingling cedar on finish. Alcohol feels very integrated on palate. Blackberry and raspberry. Plum. Cassis. Pomegranate. All the usual brambly suspects. A meatier cote du Rhone

Interesting to review my notes from over a year ago. Lovely wine.
