  • Yarra Yering Blind Vertical Tasting (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Starts with robust aromas of spice and maturing black cherry fruit. Fruit is a little less powerful on palate, but with good acidity and balance. Short finish. Drik up soon.

  • Wow. Cherry red color with virtually no signs of age. Still quite youthful, but round on the palate. Forward flavors of sweet cherry fruit. Reminiscent of a good structured sweet grand cru. 93 pts. 6/01 Another bottle, still very nice, but definitely showing signs of age, probably over the hump. Drink up. 4/02 This bottle was clearly past it's peak, it may be fading fast. Still very nice and drinkable, but only for those who like their pinots mature. Drink up. 88, 11/02
YY Pinot Vertical - My #7, Group #9 - Crimson brick. Full aroma of sweet cherry with clear tea and seconday notes including rose petal. Nice mature red fruit flavors with secondary tea notes on the finish. Past its prime, but nice. 11/05
