Color:dark burgundy-red with dark red edges Nose: big spicy red fruits, herbal, anise, some alcohol Palate: blackberries, big pepper, oaky, smoke, dry earth Mouthfeel: soft beginning but grippy dark finish
This opens up so nicely after quite some time allowing the one-third Syrah to really come out!

Opened and poured into decanter. At first, nothing but alcohol on the nose, and I was worried this was going to be another bust. However after 30min in the decanter it really started to open up. I was actually very surprised by this wine as I generally do not like cheaper wines. Drank several glasses paired with cheese burgers from lil' woodys in Seattle. I think this wine could be even better in about a year but drinking great now.
On the nose, a light hint of cherries and raspberry, on the palate raspberries, dark fruit tannins are smooth and there is a hint of alcohol but not over powering. I must say this has to be one of the best bangs for your buck when it comes to Washington reds. I will definitely be getting more.

Drunk over a couple of days, improving the whole time
Dark cherry and bramble, a little pepper, smooth acidity. Does not feel entry level
