Dark purple, cassis, red berry nose. Dry, dusty brambles, light to medium slightly tart fruit, red meat, some iodine, light tannins. A little fruity for my taste now, not jammy, just bold, smooth mouthfeel with a slight bitter tannin element. Another night and this is just great and balanced with tart cherry/berry, smooth tannins. Just give it time!

didn't taste/smell corked, but not what I remembered when I bough 2 bottles. I am a frequent buyer of Efeste, so know the wine is usually great. Really only posting this lukewarm review so if others have similar experience we might have a sense of whether or not wine is just past its prime.

Made the mistake of drinking this after enjoying a 2002 Robert Young Estate Scion, which was otherworldly. A couple of hours later, this is okay, but nothing to write home about. That being said, I would probably buy it again because away from the Scion, it's a good wine.

Aged extremely well with notes of black and red fruit with a spicy subnote.
