This is getting pretty old but after decanting it was actually pretty good. Smell was earthy. Tasted of fruit and oak. Aftertaste was interesting. This wine is way past it's prime according to many. Before decanting it tasted almost muddy.

Nice simple Cabernet QPR at $12 from Trader Joe's. Bought one cause they were sampling and seemed like a decent midweek or second bottle quaffer. Not to complex but enjoyable.

PnP, creme de cassis, blackberry, iodine and chocolate chip cookies on the nose, Lots of oak on the palate, vanilla, chocolate, blackberry and a hint of violet. Quite smooth and easy to drink, should be a crowd pleaser, optimistic the oak will integrate with time, might cellar a case at $12 a bottle a good value.
