87/100- COLOR: 5/5 - Color has purple hues and is saturated out to the edges. NOSE: 11/15 - Nose is not overwhelming, but is bright initially with cherry and plum on the nose. FLAVOR: 8/10 - Hot at first out of the bottle, but mellowed quickly. Velvety mouthfeel with blueberry, cherry, vanilla, and dusty leather. FINISH: 7/10 - Very short finish, little bit of tannic edge with cherry and a hint of mint. POTENTIAL: 3/5 - Doesn't feel over the hill by any means, but nothing about this feels like a wine meant to be cellared. OVERALL: 3/5 - A decent wine that's a decent food wine and a passable drink-alone wine. QPR is pretty poor at mid $20s, but I've had worse.

Dark ruby in color with mild aromas of thirsty , fresh cherry fruit. Full bodied with chewy, velvety tannins. Powerful flavor intensity with fresh blackcherry, plum, and chocolate. The finish is long and unforgetable. This wine makes an impression on me and at that price point who could resist. Drink now or hold for a couple more years. I highly recommend this wine.

Contrary to the other notes here, I thought this was a surprisingly good value for a Napa-based blend. It's hard to find ANY sub-$20 Cab from the rip-off that is Napa Valley, let alone a wine that's this drinkable. I expected something too sweet and too hot at this price but instead found approximate balance and good raspberry fruit. There's plenty of oak, too, but I don't find it overwhelming. I think the whole effort is well-rounded and tasty, albeit simple.

A bit on the high alcohol after-taste.

Very nice fruit flavor, dry to the taste but full of body.
