Lighter than your average Shirvington, at 14% ABV, which shows up in a more balanced wine at this young age. That said, it doesn't yet exhibit the complexity and powerful lusciousness of earlier vintages. Mostly dark fruits, firm tannins. Nominally $60, but at the run-out price of $15, it's a bargain. Something you can speculatively buy hoping it'll develop into the usual Shirvington monster in another 5-10 years.

Good red & black fruit on the bouquet and palate. Dark purple/red vanilla, coffee, integrated acid, fine tannins, good mouth feel and great length. I rate it 92+. I expect this to cellar for another 8 plus years, subject to the corks going the distance.

Really Good McLaren Vale Shiraz, rich fruit, vanilla wood, luscious body, great depth of colour, nice balance of acid and tannins. Will cellar for many years to come but still very approachable now. 92+
