Bought recently from winery as part of a vertical. I thought it was awesome - none of the issues others had. Good acidity that I wasn't expecting. nice maturation of fruit and tannins. really in a nice spot and a steal at $35 for such an aged wine.

The first of the 2003 Tensley's I purchased that was worth drinking. I have pretty poor experiences with them, by and large, until this bottle. Still plenty of sediment but decanted clear, as opposed to prior bottles. Nose of eucalyptus, licorice and tar. Flavors include raspberry, licorice and a nice dose of tannin and acidty ot make it zippy and balanced. My experience to date with these '03's (Colson Canyon, Thompson and Purisima Mountain) has been underwhelming, to put it nicely. This wine, on the other hand, was singing pretty good. I am okay with wines being made to require cellarage to be drinkable, but until this bottle, I was concerned that Tensley was all about brett and other spoilage organisms rather than ageability. I hope my last Colson '03 is as good.

Dark fruit, black tar, pepper and dry earth. Drinking well now. Typical Cali syrah, not a lot of nuance.

Still young; distinct strawberry flavor, reminiscent of Donjon
