Champagne Bookclub (served blind)--Paul (Bricco Cucina in Laguna Niguel): Served blind. 100% Chardonnay with no dosage, and certified biodynamic. I also think this cuvee is done in stainless. Orange citrus with a zesty tone. Lightly bruised apple. Finishes with lime and some austerity. Reminds me of some recent Larmandier-Bernier Terre de Vertus (the 2015).

more acid driven than other versions of this wine, the sweet lemon hits right in the front of the tongue. The Leclapart bruised apple follows strong carrying through the sip and lasting for quite a while. This is another winner for me and my tastes.

Bright, crisp and fresh, packed with layers after layers of yellow stone fruits and flowers, orange blossoms, as well as autolysis balancing out the floral and zesty scents. All mirrored on the austere yet precise palate. Lovely.

SLDS - September 2020 #2: Lemon rind, lime, smokey notes and ginger. Lean and clean with tangy acid and good flow. Nice length and texture. Still very young, I'd like to revisit in around 5-6 years.

not blind
very late harvest in October, only summer and winter, no spring. Some yellow grapefruit, austere, cracking acidity. 92
