Relaxed evening with some wine geeks (Hotel Sonne, Partschins, IT): *** brief notes from memory *** Hmm, a bit mixed feelings. Popped and poured. Sponti nose, not very appealing. Very nice extract, but a bit unbalanced acidity. Nervous and not very harmonious. Not flawed. Too young? Bad spot? Don't know. 86

What a nice surprise this turned out to be. Bought this in a wine store in Bernkastel for 12 euros in 2017.
A multilayered nose with granny smith apple, keffir lime, acacia honey, oyster shell and crushed rock. Impressive intensity given it's modest 9.5% ABV. Light weight, really high acidity and totally bone dry. Very un-fruity in a pleasant way and it's more like liquid rock than your average Mosel Riesling. A great wine for fans or acid-driven Rieslings. Drinking very well right now but could age further.

This is a really beautiful place. Open an radiant, with notes of wet stone minerality, seashell, apple, but also some spices, white peach and again plenty of saline minerality. It‘s light-bodied, but with very good mid-palate persistence, has pretty medium-high acidity adding nice tension and freshness. Good length. A very pretty, mineral-driven (as the house-style is), perfectly balanced Riesling that is ready to go.

Univinum wine fair (@EDEKA Ueltzhöfer, Heilbronn, Germany): Glass: Red Wine *** brief notes for my own memory from tasting sip. No rating *** Almost crystal clear color. Bone dry, completely driven by mineral notes and herbs. Very lean, focused and precise. Lots of salty mineral notes. Not for everyone, but I really like it. Only 9% abv. 89-90
