Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 87 points

  • Lots of lucius bright cherry, with tobacco and pepper. Longer finish surprisingly. Light bodied, but beautiful with a rich Italian meal pairs well with Bruschetta and ribeye steak. 87 or even 88 points. Reasonable valurt

  • Medium bodied, lighter/thinner than expected from a Ripasso. Faint leather and stone fruit on the nose, well balanced on the palate with medium to fine tannins. Despite not being a "big and bold" wine, it went extremely well with a venison stew - which actually enhanced the fruit profile in the wine. Good overall, but at this price, I'd prefer a Campofiorin from Masi.
