Pearl Dinner by Don Saunders (Doc's Hall, St. Louis Park, MN): Medium red color. PNP, drank a glass over an hour plus. Opens slowly in glass and starts to reveal itself. Youthful, cherry, red currants with hints of rhubarb, touches of mocha, tart with powdery tannins on a medium frame. A little fuzzy character and a sweet cherry note comes later on the nose. This does look to have some nice purity, and what we need is a bit more time to see it fully realized. Promising - 91+ to 92pts.
