Lovely wine from Piedmont. Nose has dried rose petals, dark berries, green pepper, and leather. Ruby in color with slight hint of dark orange. Medium bodied, medium length finish on the dry side. Integrated tannins that are on the softer side. Has the typical elegance of traditional Italian wines that tend to impress with their restrained and controlled performance rather than the power of Bordeaux/Rhône or the oomph of Napa/Australia. Very good example of a barbera. WS 91 pts was on to something.

Very bottled up at first. Definitely opened up after a while in the glass. Would recommend decanting before drinking. A really nice and smooth Barbera. Very Solid. Darker fruits and a bit of soil.

Did not take notes on this one. Suggest decanting 1 hr. Very good.
"Succulent, exuding cherry, raspberry, floral and mineral flavors. Silky and elegant, with a long, detailed aftertaste. Drink now... " Pairs well with dark meats" Wine Spectator 91

Medium bodied barbera, with mild acidity, easy drinking (with or without food). Value is reasonable. Would buy again.
