  • Color: dark ruby core -> medium-deep ruby rim. Bouquet of blackberries, provencal spices, cherries; not the usual favorite Hermitage suspects here (no roasted meat, bacon, pepper, etc). New world palate of black cherries, wood, some spice. Medium-weight with acceptable acidity and a moderately long finish. Fairly nondescript for such a heralded vintage; I was hoping for much more. Perhaps this is just too, too young???

Vacu-vinned overnight but it was no different the next day.
