Good light Gruner Veltliner. Citrus with a bit of an earthy taste (sometimes described as lentil). Good acidity. By itself, this seemed rather ordinary, but it was very nice once paired with a chicken and hummus dish.

Sight: Pale straw, a little green Smell: Sweet, a little chalk. Fairly strong white and citrus fruits (apricot and peach). Very nice Taste: Tart and crisp. A little pepper and grapefruit. Minimal finish.

friend and colleague amine haddad briefly served as CSE Chairperson for Districts 20/21 in Brooklyn. I last worked with him during the summer of my retirement, at which time he gave this bottle to me which i believe he hand carried back from Austria. The wine was light in terms of both body and aromatics, although it did offer some crisp citrus fruit and acidity. It was an easy drinking summer wine. this wine was marketed at the beginning of the american love affair with gru ve.
