Slightly cloudy violet color. Nose dusky black cherries with some marzipan. Palate juicy fleshy black cherries with strong gamy flavor and a nice mineral/iron streak, full mid palate, finish slightly chalky tannins. Surprisingly ripe and open on PnP, goes well with slightly spicy food. Unexpected and a unique gamay, tasted blind I would have guessed an Italian barbera. Ready to drink now, to me.

Light bodied. Raspberry and Iron (too much). Fresh but too metallic.

Willamette Valley Trip - June 2018; 6/8/2018-6/11/2018: From the Bjornson Vineyard. It was a very pretty dark purple color, had a tart red and black fruit profile with high acidity and a tart finish.

Strong prickly VA in the nose and in the taste. Clearly some nice aromas underneath. Quite flawed.

Some VA and hints of brett on the nose. Fruit forward, suave texture.
