From half bottle, sharing from a very good friend of mine who stated that the bottle came from the Chateau cellar a few months ago, initially, I expect an old, a tired one, not in this case, it is actually very vibrant with enough energy, although it is quite simple to drink! Translucent ruby in colour along with some tawny hue, the nose is subtle and very fine, red currants dominate with a trace of minerals, not a touch of leafiness or leather! Quite vibrant on the palate, acidity is very present, a touch of sweetness, finish rather short! An unexpected one! Nice too!

Nice aged Bordeaux color. Very pretty aromatics, hints of cassis, leather and floral element all well integrated, clearly aged. On the palate initially bland, but after 0.5 hours in the glass it opened up nicely into a juicy wine with some earthiness, hints of baked fruits, cedar and mint with a really nice finish with medium acidity and mild tannins. Very well integrated and very smooth. I enjoyed it both with dinner and on its own. Only problem is that I missed the opportunity and bought only one bottle for $19.99 few months ago which now seems like a stellar value.

Requires 1.5 hrs decanting to bring the remnants of the fruit out. Tannins gone. Drink now.

Our own Jugement de Paris with 10+ years old affordable wines (Our House, San Jose, CA): Good Bordeaux profile nose. Somewhat soft and disappointing palate. Somewhat harsh finish. Tasted blind.

Brownish color. All earthy, dirt and mushrooms flavors. It was perfect with a NY steak. Definitely a food wine. Great value at $20.
