Beautiful nose of sweet creme de cassis, charred wood, spice and a hint of dark chocolate. Medium bodied and seamless. This has a nice beam of saline mineral keeping it fresh and inviting. Not a lot of fruit on the palate, just a bit of black currant and a Graves-like terroir character. Drink now, but will last another few years if stored well. 89

It lacks concentration and is a bit watery, but it is an elegant wine with finesse. Smell is a well-aged St Em possibly well over the peak, but on a slowly sloping down plateau. I only had two bottles and wouldn't buy any more, but a nice drinking experience nonetheless.

At home at dinner (spaghetti). Fine deep ruby color. Excellent viscosity. Nose shows good chunky, chocolatey fruit. Plenty of depth and richness on the palate. Good cloak of tannin, too. Good wine; needs a little time to open up. 5-10-15-7: 87/100.

At home in the evening. Deep red. Looks rich. Nose is chocolatey, firmly fruity, and attractive. In the mouth, loads of wood and tannin, but with solid fruit in the balance. Needs time. 5-11-15-8: 89/100.

Note: I use the recommended scale, so 85 represents a very good wine.
Simply outstanding.
Fruit obvious from opening.
No need to decant.
Jut perfect from start to finish.
Wow!
