Piemont Trip; 3/28/2018-4/1/2018 (Barbaresco, Barolo): Fleischige Aromen und etwas Maggiwürze in der Nase. Gewöhnungsbedürftige Aromenstruktur für einen Weisswein, aber nicht uninteressant. Am Gaumen gute, dichte Frucht und schöne Balance mit der frischen und gut eingebundenen Säure. Sehr schön!

consistent with the bottle of 4 months ago, this was outstanding. Such an elegant mouthfeel, with great balance, length and verve. I opened this at the equally brilliant(!) restaurant Tintoque (the chef/owner was/is in love with this wine). Sometimes I hesitate to write a note - I'm greedy, and I want all of these in MY cellar ;-) Drink now as a PnP, aerate to decanter for an hour (even better), or drink thru 2022. Such a lovely expression of the variety, wow. highly recommended
Medium straw color, bright. Begins with different kinds of apple - sweet, bruised, ripe, fresh sliced, then moves into a lemon soil effect. Nearly medium-bodied, with good weight/extract, good+ persistence. This is nice, as it has been for years. Even better in 12 months. recommended+
