  Deep ruby in colour with aromas of sweet black fruit & earth/wet gravel.
  On the palate, full bodied blackberry, cassis, blueberry, earth/minerality, well integrated oak/vanilla/pencil shavings with medium to high acidity & medium soft tannins. Finish is long & spicy and this is lovely, well balanced wine!

  Complex and opulent Priorat wine, a blend of very old Samsó (Carinyena) and Garnatxa Negra vines (llicorella/slate soils), that was aged for twelve months in French barriques (second use). The name of this wine ‘Plaer’ means ‘pleasure’ in Catalan language. Upon opening the wine was a bit closed, both on the nose and on the palate, but it opened up beautifully after two hours in the decanter. Deep black cherry-red in color and a delicious nose revealing scents of blackberry, licorice, violets, cocoa and also some smoky and earthy nuances. The well-balanced and full-bodied palate is marked by lush plum and berry fruit, a great depth and a serious underlying acidity. Powerful, herbal finish. A wine with plenty of room for further improvement. Optimal enjoyment: 2020–2026.
  
  Complexe, opulente Priorat-wijn, een blend van zeer oude Samsó (Carinyena) en Garnatxa Negra stokken (llicorella/leisteen-bodems), die twaalf maanden rijpte in Franse barriques (tweede gebruik). De naam van deze wijn 'Plaer' betekent 'genot' in het Catalaans. Bij opening presenteerde hij zich nog vrij gesloten, zowel het bouquet als het smaakpatroon, maar hij ontwikkelde zich prachtig na twee uurtjes in de decanteerkaraf. Diep donker kersrood van kleur en een heerlijke neus met aroma’s van bramen, zoethout, viooltjes, cacao en ook wat rokerige en aardse nuances. Een mooi uitgebalanceerde, volle wijn, die gekenmerkt wordt door weelderig pruimen- en bessenfruit, een grote diepgang en een stevige onderliggende aciditeitsstructuur. Krachtige, kruidige afdronk. Een wijn met veel ontwikkelingspotentieel. Optimaal drinkgenot: 2020–2026.
