  • 85% Tempranillo and 15% Graciano. Outstanding vintage of this flagship Bodegas LAN Rioja. Intense and bright red color. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, black plum, dark chocolate and well aged balsamic vinegar. Additional hints of rose petals, baking spices, graphite and cedar. Hint of cranberry on the tangy finish. Medium plus body and excellent complexity. The fruit and organics are extremely well integrated and balanced, as is the acidity and alcohol. Make sure you give this one a long decant.

  • had the first bottle of this 2 years ago and this second bottle definitely better with the "beauty sleep". Very classic Rioja flavors of fresh blackberry, sweet plum, dill, oak, and tobacco. Full bodied wine but smooth, well balanced and long finish. Pretty much everything one could want in a Rioja. Yummy!

  • This is a delicious nine-year-old Rioja. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.

Showing black fruits with wood, licorice, vanilla, earth, coffee, light vinaigrette, black tea, peppercorn, wet leaves, spices and light herbs.

Full bodied and smooth with medium plus acidity.

Nice finish with spices and tangy raspberries.

Needs a couple of hours of airtime to open up properly. Still young and will be better in the next 5 to 10 years.

Rich and engaging. Spicy and tasty.

I paired it with cheeses and crackers. Great with the brie cheese.

A blend of 88% Tempranillo and 12% Graciano. Aged for 26 months in French Oak barrels.

    13.5% alcohol by volume.

    92 points.

    $65.

  • 2 hour decant. The oak jumps out of the glass on this one. Vanilla and spice dominate the nose. Dried cherries and raspberries on the palate. Mouth-watering acidity refined tannins hit the gums. Long, pleasant finish

  • Wine Spectator Grand Tour - Las Vegas: Aromas of cedar, cassis and leather. Opens with full dark fruit and some mineral notes. Full and rich mid-palate with good depth. Big finish. Excellent.
