I served this in my wine course. Complex nose of seaweed, orange rind, black walnuts and sultan raisins. Rich mouth. Very long finish with caramel, touch of honey (but no sweetness) and pine nuts and abundant acidity. Outstanding.

All of the Navazos sherries are good, but we've had some that are not noticeably better than the less expensive alternatives, and so I wonder sometimes about the value. But then some are like this bottling, which seems an order of magnitude more complex and delicious than any other palo cortado I've ever had, and all the value questions fade away. This has an intoxicatingly nutty caramel aroma and a deep brown color that led everyone at the table to expect a sweeter drink. But it is not sweet at all -- bright and briny, with the nuts coming through on the palate but not the caramel. Everyone loved it, both those who drink a lot of sherry and those who drink almost none. Perfect with Spanish ham and almonds.

This wine feels so light on its feet, but no lack of concentration. There’s some lightly toasted nuts, great salinity, salted caramel, perfect balance, really superb

Intens aroma med valnøtter og hasselnøtter, tørket aprikos. Høy- syre, tørr, god fylde. Evigvarende ettersmak med nøttepreg.
