The most prestigious and rare Spätburgunder at Dr. Heger, and living up to its reputation. Not Burgundian at all, but the sheer concentration of fruit is very impressive, and the minerally core provides effortless elegance and freshness. A quintessentially German Pinot Noir of the highest order.

An afternoon at Heger (Ihringen/Kaiserstuhl): from recently bottled 375. Color dark ruby. nose w cherry and brown spice. Swishing shows dense fruit and mostly tannin structure. Sipping conveys amazing polish. Really right on
