Some sous bois on the nose w dried cherries and bark. Palate is similar to the aromas. Full body. Nice acids for balance. Nice fruit still. Nice finish of fruit and sous bois. 91+

Muted cherry nose. Nice fruit, cherry, strawberry, spicy. Becomes smooth with a bit of air. Polished tannins, sharp acidity, good balance. Finishes long with cherry and warm spice. After 16 years still bright and engaging.

A slightly earthy nose. Pretty cherry and strawberry fruit, just a bit faded, some earthy notes. Smooth tannins, nice acidity, good balance. Finishes moderately long with red fruits and a bit of spice. Probably better a few years ago, but still pleasurable now. Drink up.

I know Brian used to claim his wines didn't age (or he preferred you drink them and buy more ) , but this was lovely tonight after 13 years. Lovely deep cherry notes on the nose. A vibrant red in color with slight fading at the edges. The palate shows nice dark cherry fruit with notes of black pepper and strawberry. Dusty tannins and lovely acidity. Good balance. The finish is long and reflects the palate. Not at peak at this point, but still a lovely bottle. I'd say it would give real pleasure for another 3 years. With a mushroom, asparagus and pea risotto.

4th Saturday Group brown bagger (R&D's): Ruby color. Opens with a pleasant funkiness followed by cherry and spice and a great perfumed floral quality. Spicy red fruit dominates the palate. This really grabbed my attention and held on to it- at peak.

(Loring Wine Company Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard) Group's 3 (my 1) – 47 pts; 3, 2, 1, 1 – sexy cherry, dried cherry and caramel nose; ripe and tart red fruit, cherry and strawberry with rosehips showing toward medium finish (much better than the bottle we had in July's blindtasting, which must have been a faulty bottle, as I wrote back then)
(Loring Wine Company Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard) Lovely garnet red color; enticing ripe cherry, brown sugar and caramel nose; structured, tart red fruit, cherry and mineral, young yet; medium finish 92+ pts.
