Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 93 points

  • (Minor seepage - cork 1/2 wet, came out whole) Like an old Cote Rotie of this age but with a sweet finish. Slightly reduced nose mixed with a slight bit a barn yard, in a good Rhone way. Some amber. Medium bodied, round in the mouth with lots of green olive, plus bacon fat meatiness. Sweet finish a bit short hence not a higher score. Tannins seem subdued so most probably this wine has peaked but will probably last another 5 years. Went well with lamb chops slathered with a balsamic reduction sauce.
