  • One hour decant. Very deep rosy ruby color. Raspberry, wild strawberry, stewed bing cherry, lime rind, limestone, and subtle poppy seed on the nose. Smooth, dry palate, with fine, tongue coating acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.

This has improved a bit in the three years since my last bottle. Still not showing much age. Relatively full bodied for a Pinot.

Vibrant aromas of red cherry, raspberry and pomegranate weave into notes of white pepper, baking spice, floral bouquet, sarsaparilla, herbs, earth and a northwest forest with hints of cocoa and incense.
The palate showcases suave polished tannins, berry tinged acidity and silky textures. Flavors show with intensity and reveal notes of wild raspberry, dark cherry, pomegranate syrup, pepper, baking spices, toasted oak, cocoa powder, herbs, camphor, rose petals and earth all underlined by a nice sapidity that lingers through the long spiced finish.

Overall a very polished, elegant Pinot that shines through with it's silky texture and spiced nuances.

  • Very interesting for Oregon Pinot! When first opened, noticed it was very closed with surprising firm tannins. Did a quick double decant, which improved both. Really love that this stays true to pinot from Oregon, for all the reasons they are amazing, yet remains complex with restraint, requiring coaxing to fully experience it's potential. Then it is full of flowers, red fruits and a hint of minerality. Very highly recommended!

  • Pnp: ruby, berry notes cinammon spice; medium body, ripe dark berry, sweet spice and mineral edge, deliciously balanced

  • Medium plus nose cherry layers, pomegrante, cola, light earth tones. Palate gives subtle complexities, hint of black cherry, orange peel, light earth, dried spice, herbal note maybe, finish does very very well. Value not as good with a higher price, but good wine.
