Beautiful light Ruby color with light staining and the wine opened up within 2 hours after a DD back in Btl. The aromas in the 16’ are quite more tertiary than the 18’ with gravelly rocks, Soil, and Deciduous nature with the fruit taking some time to unravel out of its tight Frame. Now when it does it offers up Ripe Red cherries (almost candy licorice like) cranberry, and plum and even a touch of blood orange tang. On the palate the wine translates to the nose quite well and the texture paired with the fine tannins are superlative to the style making for quite the elegant, silky and seductive offering.
Overall, the 16’ does have a touch of bitterness I think will go away with time but it’s fruit is not like the ripe and explosive 18’ both powerful yet poised and both great wines 18’ is just a touch better. Happy To drink either one cheers !

That is quite powerful on the nose. That is rather pretty. Elegant and really quite fine. And really apparently quite limited. Right on the Van Duzer corridor so the skins get thicker and more textured. Fuller and riper on the body. That's good stuff.
