This beast of a monastrell offers up predominantly vibrant dark fruit with hints of red aromas. Petals and dried rosemary also shine through.
On the palate, the wine is big and bold. Intense dark fruit paired with an earth and tar element. The fresh acidity is most welcome as it is needed to frame such body. As expected from such a rugged and arid land, the tannins lash out.
A powerful wine in its youth, displaying finesse and character. Suited to hefty dishes and strong cheeses.
A long decant for several hours is recommended. Expect her to taste better on day 2!
