  • Great galloping gobs of gorilla guano; this wine kicks ass! As I am in week 3 of my recovery from bilateral quad repair surgery, I must depend on DrOctoberfest to retrieve bottles from the cellar. We needed a red, and she brought this. I only mention this because I had originally planned to ignore this until 2024.

Even in its youth there’s lovely Pinot aromatics and flavors; it could easily pass as Burgundian. There’s red fruits, spices and tension and not a hint of alcohol or oak. I don’t understand why this producer doesn’t get more love because they deserve a lot of it.
