{screwcap, 8.0%, AP 40 06} Mid gold. Aging apple nose, custard, apricot jam. Palate initially has lots of lively spritz, although not harshly acidic at all. Evident RS, light/medium weight, seductive if a bit simple. More the patina of age rather than true development. Don’t think Loosen really improves with age. Probably not worth holding longer, but very pleasant anyway.

It’s easy to like Riesling, even inexpensive Riesling, this wine is no exception. Mature notes of poached pear, lychee, candied lemon, yuzu, and mandarin oranges. Round on the palate with a nice cut of acidity on the finish. Quite nice!

{screwcap, 8% AP 40 06} Mid-yellow. Lovely nose of stewed apples, custard, a touch of cinnamon. Some development apparent. The palate still has lively acid, with a spritzy touch; the fruit is quite voluptuous. It lacks a certain raciness, but it's still softly enchanting, even if the finish isn't all that long. Seems off-dry, but the finish is balanced enough that sugar doesn't stick out. Light/medium body, hugely drinkable and very moreish. Very tidy indeed. Not sure about further complexity; at least the screwcap gives it a chance!

Much improved from a few years ago. Still fresh with complexity on the finish balanced with good acidity. Wish I had a couple more.

Decent acidity to balance the sweetness. Nice food wine.
