  Definitely needed 3 hours in the decanter to open up. I suspect 3-5 more bottle years will serve the wine well. A little lean and tight on the day even with a lot of air.

  This is a pretty fascinating rioja. Initially it just seems to be a good, fairly run of the mill modern-style rioja. But with air, this wine develops a unique nose; notes of blood orange and grapefruit that I have never smelt in a wine before. Absolutely love it. The wine otherwise has tremendous richness which this citrus cuts through beautifully. On the palate the citrus is still evident, combined with really fresh raspberry and cocoa, balanced by very rich new oak. Honestly, I was expecting this wine to be too heavy, and while it is very rich and indulgent, the subtle citrus quality and elegant light red fruit keeps it lithe and fresh. Easily 94 for me now and probably 95+ with time. Not cheap, but highly recommended.

  Ogenomträngligt blåröd
  
  Doften är härligt körsbärig med tydlig ek- och vaniljkaraktär med inslag av målarfärg, löstobak, björnbär och lite kornhalm
  
  Smaken är verkligen i fas. Tät, komplex med körsbär och tydligaste indikatorn i form av vanilj och mintstänger med en väldigt begränsad strävhet men återigen tobaken och björnbären på vaniljbädd.
  
  Väldigt genomarbetat och väldigt bra vin - för den som gillar stilen och druvan helt säkert någon extra affektionspoäng men jag försöker objektivt tänka att 93-94 bör vara rättvisande! Ok, ska jag slå ner på något så är vaniljtonerna något för dominerande i den här fasen, men det brukar ju dessutom lugna ner sig.
  
  Naturligtvis Tempranillo men även ett uns Graciano och lite CS - jag vet dock inte proportionerna men det skulle förvåna om det är speciellt mycket mer än fem procent Graciano och mer än tio procent CS.
  
  Mycket bra!
