Alpha Estate & Friends Dinner (The Leadbury, London): Tasted blind. Very clearly a sauvignon blanc, grassy, light touches of soft ripe fruit. Old oak feel albeit later the winemaker explained that they use new oak barrels formed with steam so there is no toast. Light touch of vanilla. A bit short on the finish but a very pretty wine and drinks nicely now. 87
